Asus Launches the Eee Pad Transformer and the K-series Laptops with Sandy Bridge

Asus Philippines has finally launched its Eee Pad Transformer, Asus’ next generation 10″ Android tablet. The Eee Pad is powered by Google’s Android 3.0 OS aka Honeycomb and Nvidia’s dual core Tegra 2 processor and chipset. Tegra 2 allows for greater speeds and snappier response times and better multitasking performance. Its IPS display offers durable and scratch-resistant glass with up to 178 degrees of viewing angle. In terms of sound, the Transformer has a built-in SRS Sound that can provided dynamic 3D stereo audio. It also a 5MP rear- and 1.2MP front-facing cameras that can shoot photos and videos.

What makes the Eee Pad Transformer a true transformer is that it has an optional docking station that will essentially turn your Eee Pad into a notebook. The docking station has a full QWERTY keyboard with additional Android Function keys. It also has a touchpad, 3.5mm audio jack, two USB ports and an SD-card slot. The dock also increases the battery life from up to 9.5 hours to up to 16 hours with its 24.4Wh battery.

With the Eee Pad Transformer you also get Asus specific apps such as MyNet, MyLibrary, MyCloud for easy media sharing, ebook reader, and cloud data storage respectively.
