Ok, so when we reported that Samsung had announced the Galaxy Tab 7.7, we said that it was the true successor to the original Galaxy Tab. Apparently, we were mistaken as Samsung has announced the real successor to the original Galaxy Tab with the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. The Plus retains the form factor of the original albeit with a thinner and lighter frame. The internals have also been updated with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+, front (2MP) and rear (3MP) cameras, Bluetooth 3.0, dual-channel WiFi a/b/g/n, and 1GB RAM. The Plus will be available in 16GB and 32GB variants with both having a microSD slot supporting up to 32GB. The Android OS has also been updated to the latest version, 3.2 (Honeycomb).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will be available worldwide by the end of October this year.

GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus delivers a smooth and intuitive user experience with powerful performance powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor. Mini Apps allows seamless multitasking by consolidating 7 applications easily accessed from a bottom-side tray on main screen. Users can launch favorite features such as music player or calendar as pop-ups over full screen applications. Not only that, users can design an individualized up-to-the-minute interface through Live Panel.
