(Update: The price PhP2,700 has been updated to reflect the price in the local market for 3 PCs along with 3 Android devices. Also, SafeSync is bundled with the Titanium Cloud Edition subscription.)

Today, Trend Micro launched their latest update of their security suite, the Trend Micro Titanium Cloud Edition Maximum Security 2012 at the Vogue Bar in Makati. The addition of Cloud Edition gives a sense of Trend Micro’s approach as well as to where they think the future of anti-virus and malware protection is heading.

Aside from usual protection you get from the previous version, this 2012 Cloud Edition gives you protection from malware and phishing attacks from social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Titanium 2012 will monitor links within your wall or feeds and will determine if these links are legitimate or malicious and will highlight them in green for safe links or red for unsafe links.

Another feature in the update is the inclusion of the Trend Micro’s mobile security app for Android. This gives you a layer of security to protect you from malicious apps in the Android Market Place. The retail version of the Titanium Cloud Edition Maximum Security 2012 allows you to install the software to three PCs with the capability to install the mobile security application to three Android devices such as smartphones or tablets. To better understand this, you basically get a 1:1 ratio of PC and Android device per license.

The last addition to the Titanium Cloud Edition is that inclusion of Safe Sync. For those of you that have used online storage services such as Dropbox will be pretty much familiar with Safe Sync. The service allows you 10GBs of online storage which are synchronized between different devices such as your desktop, smartphone, and tablet.

Another component of the Cloud Edition is that the software is lightweight and uses fewer resources as it does most of its work in the cloud. This not only uses fewer resources on your devices but also provides up-to-the-minute protection from the latest attacks online.

The Trend Micro Titanium Cloud Edition Maximum Security 2012 is already available in the market for around PhP2,700. This gives you the ability to install the software into 3 PCs as well as 3 Android devices.
