What’s better than free? How about more freebies! With Smart’s new Netphone plans, not only will you get unlimited texts (UnliText*) and free access to Facebook and Twitter feeds (UnliSocial**) you’ll also get a Samsung Galaxy Y Netphone Edition for only P349 a month.

According to Smart Broadband Internet and Data Services Head Gio Bacareza, the new Netphone plans helps bring the power of the Internet even closer to the Filipino masses.

“We made sure to offer the Netphone plans at a very affordable price point,” said Bacareza. “We are the only telco in the Philippines to offer an UnliSocial service: imagine getting a free smartphone, unlimited texting and free access to Facebook and Twitter for less than the price of 2 movie tickets,“ he added.

Y is for “Young”

Made specifically for the youth market, the Samsung Galaxy Y is the perfect “first smartphone” for kids and teens.

It comes pre-installed with SmartNet—a suite of services developed by Smart which includes the Global Directory which lets you search for fellow Netphone users, Safe Browse which lets you avoid unexpected data charges, Netphone messaging which lets you chat for free with other Netphone users, and Social Stream which lets you read and post Facebook & Twitter updates.

The Galaxy Y runs on Google Android (version 2.3 Gingerbread) using a zippy 823MHz processor, making it the fastest and most versatile smartphone in its class. With such specs, it is able to run the latest apps from Google’s very own App Market.

Available until December 15, 2011, the Samsung Galaxy Y Netphone Edition is also available at Netphone Plan 299 for only P1,500.

Netphone 701

Also available for free at Smart All-In Plan 1200 and at Smart Data Plan 800 is the original Netphone 701.

Featuring a dazzling 3.5-inch (480×800-pixel) screen, a thin 11.8mm profile, and 512MB of memory (RAM), the Netphone 701 is made for users who are looking for a more robust mobile experience.

Like the Samsung Galaxy Y, the Netphone 701 also comes with the same SmartNet suite of services which can be used for free until December 31, 2011.

“We want to put an end to unwanted costs,” continued Bacareza. “With the new Netphone plans, we’ve done just that and soon we will be adding more handsets into the lineup,” he ended.

Both the Nephone 701 and the Samsung Galaxy Y Netphone Edition are also available on prepaid for P9,900 and P5,990 respectively.
