Add another brand along with Blackberry, Nokia, and Samsung to have their phones equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC). According to Reghardware, Acer has released the Liquid Express Android smartphone in Europe. The smartphone itself is a 3.5” mid-range phone with an 800MHz processor running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is also equipped with a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2GB microSD card along with the phone.
What is different with this particular phone is that it is the first Acer Android smartphone that is equipped with an NFC chip. The chip allows smartphones and other NFC-equipped devices to communicate with one another in very close proximity.
There is currently no word from Acer Philippines as to whether the Liquid Express will arrive in our shores.
