Smart Camps Out At Rockwell for the Apple iPhone 4S Midnight Launch

At the stroke of midnight this morning, December 16, Smart Communication began selling Apple’s iPhone 4S to much fanfare at the Power Plant Mall at Rockwell. No expenses were spared as select establishments remained opened and gave out free food and drinks. The movie house also remained open to provided free screenings of the latest Mission Impossible movie, Ghost Protocol until the early hours of the morning, free games at the Q Power Station Arcade, and free parking as well. They even held a free concert featuring international artists Jermaine Dupri and Lupe Fiasco as well as mixes from DJ Skratchmark, DJ Ace, and DJ Mars Miranda.

The first 10 in line to get their iPhone4s’ not only got their smartphone but also got something extra. The first 3 in line got themselves a free 27″ iMac, the second 3 got themselves a Macbook Air, while the last 3 got an Xbox 360 with Kinect, and the 10th person got a PlayStation 3. And the first person to get Smart’s iPhone 4s? A gentleman named, Sherwin Soriaga, who also got the first of the 27″ iMacs.

The iPhone 4S is the latest in the iPhone line featuring the A5 dual-core processor capable of running 1080p videos as stunning 3D games, a rear-facing camera featuring high-end optics and sensor for still and video recording. The iPhone 4S also features the latest version of iOS 5 and iCloud providing free could-based services.

The Apple iPhone 4S is available to prepaid subscribers at PhP33,200, PhP38,200, and PhP43,200 for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models respectively. For Postpaid subscriber, refer to the tablet below.
