As we reported in early October, Samsung has announced the true successor to the Galaxy Tab 7, the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus. Today, December 18,, Samsung launches the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus to the local market. The street price is PhP23,990 but for those pick up the 7 Plus today, December 18, either for themselves or as a Christmas gift to their loved ones, they can get a chance for as much as PhP12,000 off the street price of the Android tablet.
While the form factor of the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus is about the same in terms of size from its predecessor, the 7 Plus is much thinner and lighter. It also has an upgraded processor with its 1.2GHz dual-core processor as opposed the predecessor’s 1GHz single-core processor and Android 3.0 (Honeycomb).
