Nokia announced the availability of the new Nokia Asha 300 in the Philippines. The Nokia Asha 300 is a touch and type device to make it easier than ever to text and message friends. It is also one of the first mobile phones to offer Angry Birds pre-installed.

The colorful Nokia Asha 300 gives fast and easy 3G access to the internet and thousands of apps in the Nokia Store. The Series 40 phone has a sharp 5 megapixel camera for taking great photographs, which can then be easily organized and edited in the Nokia gallery before being uploaded to favorite online communities such as Facebook.

Music lovers can enjoy the Nokia Asha 300’s great music player, built-in FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity. With its support for up to 32GB MicroSD mobile memory cards, all your favorite songs, pictures, games and apps can be taken on-the-go.

“Our latest smart feature phone, the Nokia Asha 300, is one of Nokia’s lowest cost 3G phones,” said Dharmesh Goshalia, General Manager and Head of Sales, Nokia Philippines. “This again shows our commitment to bringing great experiences to people with different needs –from consumers to business users.”

The Nokia Asha 300 features the new Nokia Browser for Series 40, providing an advanced browsing experience that makes entertainment and information easy to discover. The browser has been specifically developed to offer locally relevant features and content. It also provides faster, better and more affordable internet access due to its ability to compress and reduce over-the-air data.
