Lenovo has unveiled its latest Android tablet on Youtube. The tablet will be a tad smaller than the usual Android tablets which will sport a 9.7″ form factor. It will also have Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box. Other features from the video touts the thin 8.9mm, unibody design and will have a micro-HDMI out, a microSD slot, and a quad-speaker system with SRS. While the S2109 will have a 1.3MP front-facing camera, Lenovo has decided against a rear-facing camera. As for the 9.7″ display, it will have a resolution of 1024×768 and because it is an IPS screen, will have a wide viewing angle as well. In terms of battery life, the video touts up to 10 hours for the IdeaPad S2109.

The video did not have any internal specs for the S2109. Although The Verge speculates that the S2109 will use a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, Engadget is says it might have an OMAP chipset from Texas Instruments instead. At $349 (PhP14,902), the S2 has a higher resolution and a rear-facing camera, so you can expect the S2109 to be more affordable.
