Right before BlackBerry World Developers Conference, RIM releases BlackBerry OS 7.1 for the Bold 9900. The release brings Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality called BlackBerry Tap that allows the Bold 9900 to tap another NFC-enabled BlackBerry phone to transfer content such as contacts, media, and even invite to BB Messenger.
Another feature of OS 7.1 is the HotSpot functionality. The function allows the ability to tether with 5 different devices using WiFi on the Bold 9900.
