Intermec isn’t really a company that most consumers know off. On the other hand, it is a big company that other more well-known companies rely on. On a press briefing, Intermec proved this when it showed a light presentation that showed companies such as Samsung, Nike, Honda, Unilever, FedEx, Air 21, L’Oreal, and even more relied on Intermec’s scanners and printers to keep track of their inventories, shipments, and deliveries from their factories to the store and eventually your home.
With that in mind, in the same press briefing, Intermec introduced its latest line of printers and scanners.
Intermec introduces a whole slew of printers from healthcare and SMB printers to the desktop warehouse and manufacturing printers to field printers small enough to carry on the hip of a person.
First off is the PC23d printer for healthcare segment. The PC23d sets the standard for user-friendly and efficient printing operations in healthcare environments. With a compact and purpose-built design, the two-inchPC23d direct thermal printer is ideal for hospital settings and an affordable choice for healthcare organizations performing wristband and labeling applications including patient tracking, sample and bedside labeling as well as pharmacy and medical records.
The new PC43d and PC43t desktop printers provides intuitive, flexible and smart solutions for light duty labeling applications in transportation, courier, hospitality, manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments. The PC43d and PC43t printers are available in 4-inch direct thermal and 4-inch thermal transfer, respectively, and are perfect for space-constrained settings with a sleek and compact design.
The PM43 and PM43c industrial mid-range label printers, featuring the fastest output in their class. Suited for harsh industrial environments including transportation, manufacturing, and distribution centers, the metal-constructed PM43 and more compact PM43c printers are built to perform by increasing uptime and reducing maintenance costs.
The PM43 and PM43c printers also deliver advanced connectivity features to increase productivity and deliver process efficiencies. As the industry’s only industrial printers available with WiFi- and CCX-Certification and with additional Bluetooth connectivity, the printers offer a leading range of industry standard and supported wireless connectivity options. Each printer also comes equipped with Ethernet connectivity and network protocol IPv6 to ensure long-term enterprise scalability and investment protection.
The new PR2 and PR3 mobile receipt printers are the smallest, lightest, and most durable receipt printers in their class. Designed for all day comfort for mobile field professionals in direct store delivery (DSD) route accounting, field service, mobile point of sale and electronic citation, the two-inch PR2 and three-inch PR3 mobile printers provide the ideal companion to Intermec’s broad portfolio of mobile computers with shared charging, docking, accessories and remote management capabilities for a lower total cost of ownership and increased efficiencies. The PR2 and PR3 mobile printers are able to share the same FlexDock base with Intermec’s mobile computers, enabling multiple alternatives for data communications and charging solutions.
For scanners, Intermec introduced the SG20 family. The SG20 family features the industry’s fastest 2D imaging technology for highly responsive omnidirectional scanning. This means that the SG20 is meant for speed to minimize time and effort.
To demonstrate this, Intermec had a game demo with scrolling barcodes where the “player” shoots the barcodes to get points.
The SG20 is also designed for user comfort as it features natural smooth grip and trigger location ideal for constant, everyday use. The SG20 also provides choice: Models are available with 1D linear or 2D high performance imagers and either Bluetooth cordless or corded connectivity. All models integrate with point of sale systems, personal computers, healthcare information, and warehouse management systems.
