Globe is the First Telecom to Launch the New iPad in the Philippines

At an event held last night at the Exchange Plaza in the Ayala Triangle in Makati, Globe Telecom launched the new Apple iPad with their Tattoo Bundle. Globe Telecom is the first mobile carrier to launch the new iPad locally.

The new iPad introduces the Retina Display for iOS tablets as well as the A5X dual-core processor that not only gives you faster performance, but also enhanced graphical capabilities for more demanding applications such as 3D games.

The new iPad is available with Globe Tattoo Plan 499 and Plan 999. At Plan 499, you get 50 hours of data usage but can be stretched to as much as 292 hours using their SuperSurf Promo. On the other hand, at Plan 999, you get unlimited data usage.

Globe is claiming up to 7.2Mbps speeds with Tattoo when using the iPad. If that isn’t enough, Plan 999 subscribers can boost that speed up to 12Mbps with an additional PhP100, 15Mbps with an additional PhP150, and 21Mbps with an additional PhP200.

All iPads with the Tattoo Bundle are WiFi with 3G with the choice of storage with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models available.

The price of the new iPad is dependent on the Plan and which model you choose. With Plan 499, the 16GB model comes out at PhP29,990 while the 32GB and 64GB models cost PhP34,990 and PhP39,990 respectively.

With Plan 999, the new iPad is more affordable with the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models cost PhP21,990, PhP25,990, and PhP30,990 respectively.

Tattoo subscribers will also get other privileges via Discounts such as 50% off on Ayala Cinema tickets and 20% off on select items on are available as well as free one month subscription to the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Summit Media magazine titles. You can also get the new iPad with the Tattoo Bundle with a 12-month, 0% interest installment plan.

It was also at the event that Globe announced their latest Globe Ambassadors to endorse the Tattoo-iPad Bundle headed by none other than Georgina Wilson.
