Add Neo to the brands that offer an Ultrabook. You read that right, this month, Neo will be selling a 14.1″ Ultrabook with the Neo Edge. While most Ultrabooks forego the optical disc drive, the Neo Edge comes with one so you won’t need an external ODD for that emergency software install.

The Neo Edge comes with an Intel Core i5-3317U which is the latest Ivy Bridge processor from Intel. The CPU is running stock at 1.7GHz but will ramp up to 2.6GHz with Turbo Boost. The Ivy Bridge processor also comes with Intel’s latest HD Graphics 4000 GPU built-in. 4GB RAM comes as standard as well as one HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a 1.3MP webcam. The 14.1″ display has a resolution of 1366×768. Wireless connectivity such as WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 also come as standard. The Neo Edge comes pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Basic.

Neo has gone the hybrid route by having a 32GB SSD with a 500GB HDD. You won’t get the full speed benefits with an SSD only solution but you’ll still get fast performance while having huge storage space.

All of these specs and features inside a metallic grey aluminum framework which helps in reducing the weight to 1.8kg.

While Neo hasn’t announced the price, the Neo Edge will be available this month.
