It looks like the new Macbooks are about to arrive; or at least the Macbook Pro. A member of a Chinese forum has posted a photo of the specs of the 13″ Macbook Pro. How can we tell? First is that the specs shows an 8x SuperDrive which is absent in all Macbook Airs. Second is the screen size which is a 13.3″ display with a 1280×800 resolution.
The new 13″ Macbook Pro will sport Intel’s 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge) Core processors which uses the HD Graphics 4000 processor. In terms of ports, it looks like Apple has decided not to remove the Firewire 800 port while replacing the two USB2.0 ports with USB 3.0. Thunderbolt and Mini DisplayPort ports and an SDXC card slot.
Comparing the dimentions and weight of the current Macbook Pro and the specs on the leak, it doesn’t seem that the rumored redesign of the Macbook Pro line is false.
