Samsung recently announced its new Smart Station Monitor at the Samsung IT Convergence 2012 event. The new 24-inch Full HD-monitor retails for PhP16,990. If you think that the price is a bit steep for a monitor, the Smart Station allows you to dock any notebook PC into it allowing you to use a keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals. In addition, it also has MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) which allows you to dock any Android smartphone and control it with the mouse and keyboard. MHL also allows you to use the monitor to mirror the screen on the phone.

The 24“ Smart Station Monitor comes with two USB 3.0 ports and a USB 2.0 port. It also has HDMI and MHL ports.

Also announced were three new wireless monochrome laser printers which use Wireless Direct Technology. Wireless Direct Technology creates a one-to-one connection between the printer and the device that wants to print. This means that you will be able to connect to any of these printers without having to connect them to a router. Android or iOS users can also print directly from their mobile devices through the Samsung Mobile Print App which can be downloaded for free from their respective app stores.

The ML-2165W is the most affordable at PhP4,990 which gets you a 20ppm single-function, monochrome wireless laser printer. The SCX-4305W is a step up as it is a multi-function, monochrome wireless laser printer which adds copying and scanning capabilities. A slightly higher fax capable SCX-4305FW model goes for PhP8,990.
