Remember when Samsung unveiled its Series 5 Ultrabook Slim earlier this year? Well, that is long in the past for the Korean electronics company as it announced the latest models of the Series 5 Ultra Ultrabooks. The new Ultrabooks are equipped with Intel’s 3rd Generation Ivy Bridge Core-i processors with upgraded SSD (solid state drives) to 24GB from the previous 16GB to complement the 500GB or 1TB HDD. The latest Series 5 Ultra will also have the benefit of Nvidia’s latest Kepler graphics architecture, from the Radeon HD on the previous version.

The latest versions of the i5 and i7 Series 5 Ultra will also have lower price tags at PhP42,900 for the Core i5 from PhP44,900 and the PhP54,900 for the Core i7 model from PhP59,900.

A surprise at the launch was the announcement of the Series 5 Slim which takes the form factor of the Series 5 Ultra but with AMD’s Low Voltage A6 processor and 7660G discrete graphics. The Samsung Series 5 Slim is available in Pop Pink and Mocha Brown for PhP29,900.
