To most consumers, they have not heard of the name, ZTE unless they are techies or those that are familiar with the whole ZTE Scandal a few years back. This all changes today as ZTE arrives in the Philippines in a big way. In partnership with MSI-ECS, ZTE Mobile launches with a number of products which includes two feature phones, three Android smartphones, and a 7” tablet.
At the launch, ZTE Mobile introduces the S516 and the R260 feature phones with the R260 having a full QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, and Dual-SIM capabilities as well as a 2MP rear-facing camera.
ZTE Mobile also introduces the Mimosa Mini V856 and the Kis V788 smartphones running on Android 2.3. The Mimosa Mini is running at 650MHz with a 2.8” capacitive, 2MP rear-facing and VGA front-facing camera, and a 512MP flash drive. The 3.5” display Kis has a higher spec 800MHz and 3MP rear-facing and VGA front-facing cameras. The Mimosa Mini will set you back PhP5,390 while the Kis will set you back PhP7,490.
The third Android smartphone from ZTE Mobile is the Skate 4.3H with a 4.3” capacitive display. The Skate has a 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB RAM and an included 4GB Micro-SD and a 5MP camera. The Skate run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The ZTE Mobile Skate 4.3 will set you back PhP13,990.
As for the tablet, ZTE Mobile introduces the Light Tab 2 V9A. The 7” tablet has a 1.4GHz Scorpion processor running Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with 4GB storage with support for up to 32GB microSD. It also has a 3MP rear-facing camera and VGA front-facing camera. ZTE has included Dolby Mobile Sound technology. The Light Tab 2 V9A costs PhP15,490.
ZTE Mobile also showed two high-end phones, the ZTE Grand X V970M and the ZTE Era which should be out by the first quarter of next year.
