At this year’s CES, Lenovo announced its IdeaPad Yoga which is essentially a convertible laptop/tablet. The Yoga is specifically designed with Microsoft’s next generation OS, Windows 8 in mind. In fact, in their demonstrations it had a developer’s preview build running. Since then, nothing much has been announced.

Last week, Lenovo officially announced that its enterprise tablet, the ThinkPad Tablet, the ThinkPad Tablet 2, will get an upgrade which included an OS shift from Android to Windows 8. While this is the company’s second device that will come with WIndows 8 pre-installed, there has been no word about the IdeaPad Yoga–which was at CES just a prototype.

It seems that the Yoga would just quietly move to the shadows never to see light again.

Now, ABC News is reporting that the Lenovo convertible will arrive just in time for Windows 8 release on October 26. According to ABC News, there will be two version of the IdeaPad Yoga. Similar to Microsoft’s own Surface tablets, the Yoga will be available in either the ARM processor running Windows RT or the x86 Intel or AMD processors running Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro versions.
