This week, Huawei makes available their latest Android phone, the Ascend G300. This stands alongside the Honor and the Ascend Y200.

The Ascend G300 features a 4″ WVGA IPS display. The IPS display should give you great wide angle viewing and good contrast. The rear facing camera has a 5MP sensor with LED flash. Inside, the Ascend G300 comes with a 1GHz processor from Qualcomm and 512MB RAM. It also comes with a microSD expansion slot for up to an additional 32GB of storage.

Running the G300 is Android 2.3 Gingerbread but Huawei has announced that Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) will arrive before the end of the year.

Just like the Honor, the Ascend G300 promises great battery life that touts up to two weeks of standby time.
