Jelly Bean Update for Samsung Galaxy S III Imminent

It looks like it’s coming sooner than later for the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S III. Android Central is citing a source that Google’s latest OS version, Jelly Bean will come to the Korean’s flagship smartphone right after Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 on August 29. It also the same event in which the next Galaxy Note is expected to launch. Following the event, the Jelly Bean update will slowly be rolled out to numerous countries.

According to the site, the final build of Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S III is already in its final testing phase. Android 4.1, Jelly Bean will bring in additional features to the Samsung Galaxy S III such as additional flexibility to the notification menu as well as Google Now which gives you context information based on your location and habits. The update will also add features to Samsung’s TouchWiz UX.
