Yesterday, Samsung Electronics Philippines launched a number of audio docks headed by their premium DA-E750 wireless audio dock. The DA-E750 combines digital and analog technologies with a digital amplifier and vacuum tubes.
The DA-E750 is a 2.1 speaker system in one box. The speakers are made out of Glass Fiber which is strong enough to resist tearing while still elastic enough to produce excellent sound quality. At 100W, the audio dock has enough power to fill a room while still maintaining the quality of the sound. The case is made out of real wood which adds to the quality of the sound output as well as Phase Plug Type speakers.
Being demoed at the launch, the sound coming from the DA-E750 is readily apparent. I was able to play a couple of songs from my Galaxy S III that were encoded in FLAC. The music is much cleaner and warmer. Even when the volume was raised, the music didn’t break. The sound was balanced and the highs, mids, and lows were distinctive from one another.
Another feature that Samsung is touting at the event is that the DA-E750 has a dual-docking system which allows you to dock your iPod, iPhone, and iPad or your Samsung Galaxy S II, Galaxy S III, and Galaxy Note smartphone. The dual-docking system features Apple’s 30-pin connector and a micro-USB plug along with a sliding dock rest to keep your device/s stable. If you want to keep your phone by your side, the DA-E750 can also connect wireless via Bluetooth 3.0, Samsung’s AllShare Play, or Apple’s AirPlay.
Aside from the dual-docking system, the DA-E750 also features composite and AUX plugs to connect other sources to the speakers as well as a USB port that will play music files (WMA, AAC, MP3) from a flash drive.
Also at the launch are three other audio docks, all including Wireless Bluetooth connectivity and the Dual-Docking system.
The DA-E570 and the DA-E550 2.0 speaker docks are essentially the same in terms of specs with 10W of power, and Phase Plug Type speakers. The difference between the two is that the DA-E570 has a traditional box design while the DA-E550 features a modern Horn design.
The DA-E650 is bigger and more powerful at 40W. It adds a subwoofer making it a 2.1 system as well as Glass Fiber with the Phase Plug Type speakers. It also has a USB plug to play music files from your flash drives.
The DA-E750 costs PhP29,990 while the DA-E570 and DAE550 costs the same at PhP7,990 while the DA-E650 costs PhP12,990. They should all be available now.
