Oracle has took notice of the zero-day vulnerability in Java and has deviated from its strict update cycle by releasing an emergency patch. The vulnerability made use of a security flaw that could have been used to deliver malware when visiting infected webpages.
There isn’t any text in the update to suggest any urgency to get the update, merely recommending the user to update. Though release notes and a security alert are available on Oracle’s own site.
