Nokia is set to announced new smartphones at their Nokia World Conference on September 5 (early morning on the 6th in Manila). However, evleaks on Twitter has already leaked photos of what might be what the Finnish company will announce.

The first photo has been captioned “4.5-inch Nokia Lumia 920 with PureView” which we assume is Nokia’s successor to the Lumia 900. The design of the supposed Lumia 920 is similar if not the same as its predecessor and from the photo, will come out in 3 (Silver, Yellow, Red) colors.

Although we have been told that the PureView technology will eventually come to the Lumia series, it is significant to note that the camera lens seem a bit too small as compared to the PureView 808. While this is true, Nokia could have made strides in their R&D to miniaturize the technology to fit the form factor of the supposed Lumia 920.

The second image has the caption “4.3-inch Nokia Lumia 820″. Comparing the photo with the Lumia 800, it seems that they have redesigned the the Lumia 820 to differentiate it from the the Lumia 800, 900, and the supposed 920. On the other hand, all the buttons and soft buttons remain the same layout as with the other  premium Lumia phones. The Lumia 820, if the leaked photo is to be believed, will come out in 7 colors.

Not much has been said about specs and features of the phones except for these photos and the addition of PureView on the 920. As with all rumors, take these with a a heavy grain of salt. While it’s not uncommon to for Nokia to keep from factors from successor to successor — from N9 to Lumia 800 to Lumia 900 — it is also not uncommon for images to be photoshopped and “leak” on the Internet as well.

We have also done a little research on evleaks and have found out that the account has only been up for a few day (since August 28). Its other leak has been images of an unknown HTC tablet which curiously looks like an inverted iMac with the camera at the bottom — both front and back.

What we can say with some certainty is that the when the new Nokia Lumia phones will come out, they will come with Windows Phone 8 and with at least a dual-core processor just as Microsoft stated in their Windows Phone 8 Preview Press Con and from the announced Samsung ATIV S smartphone.
