The webhosting service GoDaddy.com has confirmed that it had problems with its site and other various sites that it hosts. Sites weren’t unavailable for all users, most having minor inconveniences such as those who use GoDaddy as their email hosting service.
GoDaddy hasn’t released much information about what’s been happening merely stating that they’re taking care of it. According to their Twitter page “Most customer hosted sites back online. We’re working out the last few kinks for our site & control centers. No customer data compromised.”. Twitter user AnonymousOwn3r, an apparent Anonymous member, took credit of the attack and said that it was a cyber security test.
