Everyone seems to be getting on the tablet bandwagon and even Toys”R”Us has jumped on with its own Android-powered Tabeo tablet. It’s supposedly designed with kid users in mind with kid-safe features.
The $150 Wi-Fi only Tabeo tablet is powered by a single-core 1 GHz processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with 1GB of RAM. The tablet features 4GB of built-in storage, a microSD slot for expandable storage, a UBS 2.0 slot for side-loading and charging, and a mini-HDMI output to connect to a TV.The Tabeo has a 7″ capacitive screen with a 800×480 resolution. Battery life is said to last about 10 hours.
The Tabeo has a variety of safety features for parents to tinker with and will have 50 pre-installed apps including educational titles and popular games such as Angry Birds.
Customers can pre-order the Tabeo now. Tabeo will land in Toys”R”Us stores on October 21.
