Nikon has announced the release of its newest D600 DSLR that boasts an impressive 24.3-million effective pixels. The D600 is the latest and most compact of Nikon’s FX-format DSLR lineup.

The D600 has the same EXPEED 3 image-processing engine built into high-end Nikon DSLRs such as the D4, D800, and D800E. It has a 3.2-inch LCD monitor with wide angle viewing that has water and dust resistance. The D600 makes the most of its 24 million pixels by the ability to shoot Full HD videos in 1920×1080/30p. Weighing in at only 760g, it is extremely portable and delivers superior quality and can be fitted with a wide range of DX NIKKOR lenses.
