Western Digital My Passport Gets the Slim Treatment

With the trend of devices going sleek and slim, Western Digital has taken their My Passport external drive and gave it the slim treatment. The result is the WD My Passport Edge. The My Passport Edge comes in 500GB capacity and a USB 3.0 interface for fast transfers to and from the drive. Its think form factor makes the My Passport Edge more portable and fits easily into any bag.

The My Passport Edge will comes in two models. One is designed for the PC and the other for the Mac. The difference between the two is the included software which is optimized to each system. Western Digital includes the their own WD SmartWare software for automatic and continuous backup as well as data security. For the Mac version, you get a Mac-formatted drive out of the box which is compatible with Apple’s Time Machine for data back up.

You can get the PC version of the My Passport Edge for PhP4,490 while the Mac version can be had for PhP4,790. Both drives come with a 3-year warranty should be available now.
