Asus Announces AMD-based F2A85 Series Motherboards

Asus has announced its latest series of motherboards based on AMD’s A85X chipset usng the FM2 socket. The F2A85 series is designed for AMD’s 2nd generation APU.

As with other Asus motherboards, the F2A85 series takes advantage of Asus’ Dual Intelligent Processors 3. The feature gives the user control of the system if he or she wants power efficiency or maximum performance. This brings flexibility to the F2A85 series of being a power efficient HTPC or a bang-for-the-buck mainstream, gaming PC. DIP 3 also allows the user to push the integrated Radeon 7000-based GPU on the APU for extra graphical performance.

The F2A85 series also features USB BIOS Flashback which for hassle-free BIOS upgrade as well as Remote Go! to easily connect to the network for media streaming to other devices within the network.

While no prices have been announced, the Asus F2A85 series motherboards will be available in mid-October.
