Time has not been good to Myspace these past few years, but a newly released teaser video showcases a new, revitalized Myspace now that Justin Timberlake and Specific Media Group has stepped into the picture.
According to the company, the new Myspace is being built entirely from scratch and isn’t quite ready yet. No dates have been released, but you can leave your email for an early invite.
“We’re hard at work building the new Myspace, entirely from scratch. But we’re staying true to our roots in one important way—empowering people to express themselves however they want. So whether you’re a musician, photographer, filmmaker, designer or just a dedicated fan, we’d love for you to be a part of our brand new community.”
From what the company has showcased in its teaser video, the site looks gorgeous. The designs are quite minimalist, letting the imagery speak for itself. They look to be returning to their media-centered roots, highlighting imagery, static navigation menus, music streaming system, and left-to-right scrolling.
It seems 2012 is the year many companies are coming out and refreshing their looks and Myspace is just one of many. Hopefully the Myspace team will be able to deliver what looks to be an awesome service.
