Registration for BlackBerry Jam Asia 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand is now open. It will take place on November 29-30 2012 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will give mobile developers and designers access to RIM experts, hands-on tutorials, labs, and in-depth sessions to help them create content on the new BlackBerry 10 platform.

Why should I go?

During the conference, more than 40 breakout sessions will be presented by RIM experts and members of the developer community so attendees can gain hands-on experience with the latest app development tools for the BlackBerry 10.

Key benefits for attendees of BlackBerry Jam Asia include:

  • Learning how to take advantage of the platform’s key differentiators,
  • Collaborating with experts on code without the need to learn new languages,
  • The opportunity to explore the platform’s open ecosystem, tools, and application capabilities
  • Learning new APIs and features through Sessions, Hands-on labs, and expert meet and greets.

Check out their Session Catalog for more information.

In addition to the benefits mentioned above, BlackBerry will be providing BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha devices to qualified developers to test apps during development.

Submit BlackBerry 10 Apps Now

BlackBerry App World has begun to accept applications for BlackBerry 10 devices. Apps submitted to developers after October 10 are guaranteed to be reviewed, tested, and ready to be published when BlackBerry 10 launches. The sooner you submit your app, the sooner it can be tested for the Built for BlackBerry program, somewhat like a certification process for your app that increases their visibility to the community. If your app does get certified, it can qualify for the 10k Developer Commitment, where RIM will pay $10,000 USD for your app if it is eligible.
