Any gamers an competitive benchmarkers out there? ASUS launches their latest powerhouse graphics card, the ASUS ROG MATRIX HD 7970 Platinum Edition, with its GPU overclocked to 1100MHz. It offers extensive overvolting capabilities via VGA Hotwire and TweakIt, the latter enabling on-press 100% fans speed activation. Power is delivered via a 20-phase architecture, managed by DIGI+ VRM and Super Alloy Power. GPU loadline calibration and VRM overclocking is available through the ASUS GPU Tweak utility.

The card is available in a standard and platinum edition, the latter  having a 50MHz faster boost and base clocks. Both come with a Diablo III mouse pad.

The MATRIX HD 7970 uses the top of the line AMD HD 7970 28nm GPU, tested for extreme heat and heavy-load stress. It is factory-tuned to 1100MHZ, representing a 175MHz gain compared its base GPU. The MATRIX HD 7970 is powerful enough to support six-screen displays via AMD Eyefinity with quad DisplayPort connectivity.

With proprietary features from ASUS, overclocking and modifications are a breeze, using tools such as VGA Hotwire for overvolting, DIGI+ VRM for performance tuning, and GPU Tweak for deep GPU adjustments.

The ASUS ROG MATRIX HD 7970 Platinum Edition are available through an on order basis retailing at P29,720 and P29,120 for the standard version.
