With the iPad mini having just been released recently, the folks at IHS, previously known as iSuppli have been hard at work cracking open Apple’s latest device.

Known for their “teardown” analysis reports, IHS has found that the base iPad mini, the 16GB Wi-Fi only model, which sells for $329, costs about $188 to build for a profit of around $141. The teardown also revealed key suppliers such as LG for the display and Samsung for the A5 processors.
