After a three and a half month hiatus, Demonoid has been shown signs of life. This small spark is a sign that the Demonoid team is hard at work, getting the site up and running. While thousands of torrents tracked by Demonoid are back up, the index and forums are still down for the count while the team works on it.

Back in July, the site suffered a DDoS attack and went down, which then caused even more problems that were quite difficult to fix. Things got worse as Demonoid’s hosting provider Colocall pull the plug on the site due to pressure from Interpol. Long-time users were optimistic that the site would be back, despite the criminal investigation as it had done so in previous years. Demonoid seems to have moved onto a Hong Kong ISP according to the IP-address linked to the tracker.

Despite the main site still being down, the trackers being back online is a good sign that we could see the full revival of Demonoid in the following weeks.
