RIM has announced that it will be holding its BlackBerry 10 launch event on January 30, 2013, simultaneously in multiple countries around the world. The event is set to launch its new BlackBerry 10 platform and the first two new BlackBerry 10 smartphones. Details about the new smartphones and release dates will be unveiled at the event.

“In building BlackBerry 10, we set out to create a truly unique mobile computing experience that constantly adapts to your needs.  Our team has been working tirelessly to bring our customers innovative features combined with a best in class browser, a rich application ecosystem, and cutting-edge multimedia capabilities.  All of this will be integrated into a user experience – the BlackBerry Flow – that is unlike any smartphone on the market today,” said Thorsten Heins, President and CEO of Research In Motion.

A few BlackBerry 10 features have already been unveiled such as BlackBerry Flow and BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Keyboard, and BlackBerry Balance. BB Flow is a new user experience for seamless navigation while BB Hub is somewhat like a notification feed that can be accessed with a simple gesture. BB Keyboard learns how you type and adapts to it to help you write faster and more accurately. BB Balance lets users separates personal and work profiles that are easily switchable. Personal apps and information are kept separate from work data and organizations can fully encrypt their data to protect their content and applications.
