PLDT has been offering the TelPad to users for quite awhile, giving them both a tablet and a landline device. Now they’ve updated their TelPad tablets to the Huawei-made TelPad S7 Lite running Android 4.0 ICS. The Telpad tablet comes totally free when you subscribe to any TelPad plan available. The TelPad S7 Lite has a 7-inch IPS screen with a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage which can be bumped up to 32GB via a microSD slot. The tablet lives up to its Lite moniker, weighing only 370g and capable of 180 hours of standby time. Imaging is taken care of a 0.3MP front-facing camera and a 3MP rear camera.

PLDT offers a variety of free features when you subscribe to a TelPad plan such as free NDD calls, caller ID, call forwarding, call waiting, speed dialing, 3-party conferencing, and more. Once you subscribe to a TelPad plan, you’ll instantly get a 0.5 mbps speed bump to your myDSL Internet speed.

Plans start off at Plan 1849 up to Plan 4100 for myDSL, and P4,000 for PLDT FIBR. Current Internet subscribers can upgrade their plans with an added monthly service fee. Old TelPad subscribers won’t be left in the past either as they should be able to upgrade their plans as well. Patrick Tang, head of PLDT HOME Voice Solutions said that there will be a nominal fee depending on how long you’ve been subscribed to the old plan.

bat sabi sa amin ay pwede daw palitan at may warranty pag nasira at nabasag yung screen, nakakainis nga lang at di pwede ito gamitan ng sim card na connected sa internet plan mo sa pldt! if ever you are not in the house at bitbit mo yung tablet nato wala ding saysay kasi waley na ang connect sa wifi, bakit hindi sila mag-ofer ng ganun at possible naman yun. kailangan mo pa mgadala ng pocket wifi at magload sa globe tattoo, smart bro
