Looks like the iPhone wait is over, as Apple has just announced that the iPhone 5 will be available in the Philippines and 50 other countries including South Korea, Brazil, Russia, and Taiwan this December. It has been awhile since the iPhone 5 launched, but we’ve been patient and soon we’ll be seeing them in the market locally. The iPhone 5 features a larger 4-inch Retina display with an A6 chip running iOS 6, while being even thinner and lighter than the previous generation iPhone.
The first to get the iPhone 5 will be South Korea on Friday, December 7, while the rest of the group will get it on Friday, December 14. This includes Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ecuador, Grenada, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Jordan, Kuwait, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. While the iPhone 5 will also be available on Friday, December 21 in Barbados, Botswana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Egypt, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St.Vincent & the Grenadines, Tunisia, Uganda and Vietnam.
It does seem a bit late as rumors of an iPhone 5S have already been circulating. We’ll just have to see what happens.
