Globe, in partnership with Ace Insurance has launched Globe Gadget Care, their mobile protection program for phones and gadgets. Globe Gadget Care protects subscribers from accidental damage, theft, and outstanding postpaid bill balance. The service is free for the first month and as low as P89 per month for new and current Globe My Super Plan subscribers getting a new device. The Globe Gadget Care service also guarantees handset replacements, easy claims processing, and worldwide protection coverage.
Customers who did not avail of Globe-issued devices can avail of the mobile protection service for as low as P199 a month for feature phones and P299 for smartphones.
Globe has four tiers called Bands depending on the level of your device. For example Band 1 has devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Y, Nokia Asha, and Huawei Y100. Band 2 has BlackBerry Curve 9220, Samsung Nexus S, and Nokia N8. Band 3 has the iPhone 4, Nokia Lumia 800, and Samsung Galaxy S3. Band 4 has the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, New iPad, and Samsung Galaxy Note II. The costs per month are P89, P179, P299, and P399 respectively.
