With CES only a few days away, some of the world’s electronic giants are readying their products for the big unveiling. Sony may have slightly jumped the gun as photos of a pair of leaked Xperia smartphones have hit the net. The Xperia Z “Yuga” and ZL “Odin” have made their debuts as they appeared on the company’s website.
Both handsets are similar to each other, though the ZL looks to be a more compact version. Sony’s newest Android handsets are rumored to have 5-inch 1080p LCD displays, quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processors, 2GB RAM and Adreno 320 graphics with a 13MP Exmor RS sensor on the back. Strangely, the ZL’s front-facing camera is located on the bottom of the phone. The Xperia Z is said to have a dust and water resistant chassis.
Pricing is rumored to be similar to the Sony Xperia TX, so roughly around $700. None of these rumros have been confirmed, though with CES only a few short days away we won’t be waiting for too long.
