You read that right, a 1TB flash drive. That’s how much storage space Kingston claims their newest trinket, the DataTraveler HyperX Predator USB 3.0 flash drive can contain. It’ll begin selling later in Q1 and promises read/write speeds of up to 240MB/s and 160MB/s respectively. While the 1TB version isn’t available yet, they currently have a 512GB version on hand. It’s also been SuperSpeed USB 3.0 certified so you can be sure of its lightning fast speeds, though it’s too early to take advantage of the proposed improved USB 3.0.
Such gigantic storage on a tiny flash drive isn’t cheap, if you’re planning on grabbing the 512GB edition, be ready to fork over $1,337 so the 1TB should cost a pretty penny.
