That’s right, Google and LG’s wildly popular Nexus 4 might already have a successor in the near future. Rumors are suggesting that LG factories have stopped producing the current Nexus device and focused on a new device.
CES may be over but the tech giants are quickly preparing their mobile phone offerings for the MWC show in February. LG had previously hinted that the Nexus 4 would be first of many smartphones developed between the two companies. We could be seeing a new phone next month, but it seems highly irregular to completely stop production of a product that is flying off the shelves and are currently sold out.
A bit of skepticism should be healthy for taking in the full rumor, but a new phone does seem feasible as LG did not have any mobile offerings at CES this year. The rumored Nexus device could possibly be running on Android’s next version, Key Lime Pie on a 2GHz processor.
