RIM will be having their Last Chance Port-A-Thon this weekend for their new BlackBerry 10 platform. During the last Port-A-Thon, more than 1,000 individuals from around the globe came together virtually for 37.5 hours straight and submitted over 15,000 applications for BB10. This time the event will run for 36 hours straight, starting on January 19, 2013 at 1:00am local time.
Developers are tasked to bring their apps to the BB10 platform either through any development approach or the BlackBerry App Generator, where they will receive $100 per port for a maximum of 20 paid applications per vendor. Developers who submit five or more applications are entered into a raffle to win one of 250 limited edition BlackBerry 10 devices. Intrested developers should register at the BlackBerry site, get all the proper BlackBerry developer tools you’ll need, and sign up for a BlackBerry 10 Code Signing Key.
