RIM has just announced the relaunch of its app store as “BlackBerry World“, ahead of the BlackBerry 10 launch. Previously called the BlackBerry App World web store, the shift in naming reflects the offerings that will be made available. The new BlackBerry World will be offering much more than just apps –15,000 of which have been submitted for BlackBerry 10 – and soon will be releasing video and music content as well. Meant to be the “one-stop shop for all of your mobile entertainment needs.”, the new change will roll out on the web storefront first, while changes to BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and BlackBerry smartphones will be arriving in the coming weeks. Check the new BlackBerry World here. Don’t worry if it still looks the same as it may take up to 24 hours for the changes to appear.
