Sharing words and pictures have become commonplace as more and more of us get online. Twitter has found a way to further improve sharing by introducing a new mobile video sharing service that lets users capture short looping videos. The new service adds another dimension to the act of Tweeting, sound. Vine is a separate app that’s available on the iTunes App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch users; Twitter says that they’re working on bringing it to other platforms as well.
The app lets you shoot a quick six second video and embed it into your tweets similar to photos. The videos loop indefinitely, looking more like an easy to use GIF maker instead of a full blown video capturing app. Audio seems to be muted on the desktop by default so no sudden sound surprises.
