Have you ever felt the need to use a tablet in your shower? Well Fujitsu’s newest Windows 8 tablet could be just the slate for you. Fujitsu claims that it’s Arrows Tab Q582/F is the thinnest water- and dust-resistant Windows 8 tablet, at a thin 9.9mm.
According to the company the 10.1-inch tablet will still ” function normally after being immersed in room-temperature tap water to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes” or “after being sprayed with water from a nozzle with a diameter of 6.3 mm at a rate of 12.5 liters per minute from a distance of approximately 3 meters for a period of at least 3 minutes.” Mostly aimed towards the on-the-go user with lots of outdoor exposure, but you probably should be able to use it in your shower or tub safely.
Inside this water-friendly device, the Arrows Tab Q582/F sports an Intel atom Z2760 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 64GB SSD with a battery life of up to 10 hours. The tablet is set to go on sale in mid-March in Japan for ¥125,800 (about Php 55,200), no word when it’ll reach other regions.
