Microsoft has listened to its customers and have made changes to its Office 2013 licensing terms, the company announced in a blog post. Now your Office 2013 license can be transferred to a different computer if the device breaks down or you get an upgrade. Previously, licenses were linked to the PC they were installed on and could only be transferred if the PCs failed under warranty. The company says that it will update the actual license agreement in a future release, but makes it clear that the changes are effective immediately. Even with these changes there still are a few limitations. You can’t transfer the license more than once every 90 days unless there’s a hardware failure, and you can’t have it on more than one computer at the same time.
