With Twitter’s API changes that limits the number of users or “tokens” a third party client can have, official app support has become important in keeping users happy. Twitter has finally released its official app for Windows 8, that includes the usual Home, Connect, Discover and Me tabs along with a few unique Windows 8 UI features such as snap view, charms and Live Tiles.

Support for the charms means that you can simply swipe from the right and Tweet from any app using the Share charm or search with the Search charm. Twitter may have been somewhat integrated into the People Hub, but having a dedicated app should make moving around the service much easier. For those rocking Windows 8 devices, head on over to the Windows Store to get the official Twitter app for your device.
