Cougar brings in another of its German designed computer chassis, the Evolution full tower series that supports both ATX and microATX. Following the Challenger series, the Evolution chassis series consists of the original full black Evolution, the black and orange Evolution BO, and the white Evolution Galaxy, which are now available in the Philippines.
Each of the Cougar Evolution chassis has a dual-fan interface on top that lets users control up to six fans inside the case with two different speed groups by simply pressing a button and twisting the control knob. This would enable users to tweak ventilation settings for the most stressed components, while keeping the other fans blowing at normal speeds to maximize cooling. Hidden on top is a hot-swap docking station for 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch hard drives, covered by a lid that protects against dust and light spills.
Inside the Evolution chassis are six 5.25-inch bays and four 3.5-inch bays. Connectivity included are two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports as well as HD audio jacks on top, near the dual-fan interface. Unlike the aggressive-looking Challenger series, the Evolution features a minimalist honeycomb design, with a blend of plastic and mesh that facilitates efficient cooling. The Evolution and Evolution Galaxy each have a windowed side panel, while the Evolution BO has a metal mesh side panel instead.
The Cougar Evolution chassis series is available through Ubertech, Cougar’s distributor in the Philippines for Php 4,800.
